About the job

Bemac Collision Group is looking for an Automotive Prepper to join the CSN Bemac Orleans team in Ottawa, Ontario. This position is available immediately and plays an important part in preparing vehicles for the paint department.

What you will do

  • Prepare vehicles for painting by following factory-specified steps
  • Prime, edge, and jam replacement parts as needed
  • Sand and prep new parts, blend panels, and featheredge surfaces before applying primer
  • Block panels to ensure proper refinishing
  • Mask panels and vehicles to reduce tapelines and overspray
  • Apply the correct amount and number of primer coats
  • Maintain cost per paint labor hour targets
  • Monitor assigned vehicle status and help resolve scheduling issues
  • Use all required safety equipment and follow refinishing procedures that meet OHSA guidelines
  • Comply with hazardous waste disposal rules
  • Maintain tools and equipment, including filters for paint and prep booths, per vendor protocols
  • Keep the workspace clean and organized
  • Take on additional duties as assigned by management
  • Ensure all work meets company and OEM quality standards
  • Follow all safety protocols and company policies
  • Work effectively with team members to support smooth operations

Compensation and schedule

  • Hourly wage: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
