HW Kia of West County is proud to extend a unique and rewarding opportunity to skilled military Veterans to embark on a fulfilling career as a Kia Certified Service Technician. Supported by Kia America, Inc., our Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP) is specifically designed to help Veterans transition into the automotive industry.
Job Responsibilities
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair various Kia vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, steering, suspensions, brakes, HVAC, and electrical components.
- Accurately complete repair orders and warranty requests while adhering to Kia and retailer policies.
- Conduct test drives and utilize Kia diagnostic tools and strategies to analyze and resolve vehicle issues.
- Provide timely service and repairs, ensuring optimal communication with the shop foreman and service advisor to enhance the customer experience.

Requirements
- Honorable discharge from military service.
- Valid driver's license from any state with a clean driving record.
- Prior experience in a technical or mechanical field is required.
- Willingness to undergo drug screening and background checks.
