Minimum Requirements:BA/BS in a relevant field with a minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in aviation civil engineering and airport infrastructure projects or an equivalent combination of experience and education, including at least 4 years in a leadership role. Proven track record in sales production metrics and business development strategies, including team leadership and developing compelling value propositions that effectively meet client needs.

Join AECOM as the Aviation Engineering Technical Practice Leader for the Americas, reporting directly to the Americas Aviation Lead. This pivotal role is designed for a dynamic leader passionate about driving growth in aviation engineering practices while ensuring high-quality delivery and enhancing technical capabilities. Your extensive network within commercial airport facilities will be instrumental in representing AECOM as an industry leader.

In this position, you will collaborate with a diverse range of clients, federal and state officials, industry associations, technical experts, and project specialists within a vibrant and supportive culture. This role allows for flexibility, with options for remote work and travel as necessary.

Core Responsibilities:

Practice Growth and Sales

You will play a key role in expanding AECOM’s aviation sector by collaborating with Regional Aviation Market Sector Leads, the Global Aviation team, and Regional Aviation Division Managers. Your focus will be on building strong relationships with clients and industry stakeholders, developing strategic business initiatives, and supporting aviation capture managers in securing major engineering projects.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • Engagement in national collaboration for aviation civil engineering services.
  • Development and implementation of national strategies for aviation projects that align with organizational goals.
  • Formation of effective technical delivery teams.
  • Identification and recruitment of key industry talent.
  • Advising leadership on resource capabilities to enhance market growth.
  • Identifying resource gaps that may impede growth and strategizing solutions.
