Qualifications Required:Proficient in C, Linux shell scripts, or comparable software testing scripts. Experience in formal requirements and the development of software test cases and procedures. Background in hardware/software debugging within embedded control systems. Knowledge of DO-178C standards is preferred. Capability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Position Description

ENSCO Avionics, Inc. is thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer with expertise in software integration and verification specifically for embedded avionic engine and flight control systems. This role is performed within a collaborative team environment, offering both on-site and near-site opportunities. The testing environment utilizes tools such as VectorCast and Green Hills, although experience with similar tools will also be considered. The software is developed using C code or customer-specific scripts, executed within a lab environment on simulation test systems. Familiarity with hardware integration and debugging is advantageous, though not mandatory. Responsibilities include integration with software emulators and debuggers to facilitate system control at the lowest operational level. The position entails creating formal Requirements Based Test procedures, with all requirements, test procedures, and results managed in a Configuration Management system and traced via DOORS to comply with DO-178C standards. The role encompasses a balanced mix of requirements review, software development, simulation testing, and system-level testing within an avionic lab environment.
