What You Will Do
As a Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of services, data pipelines, and data storage solutions for our advertising applications. You will tackle challenges, collaborate with your teammates, and contribute to both manual and automated testing in a fast-paced, engineer-led continuous deployment environment. Your key responsibilities will include:
Creating software that helps our clients streamline their business processes.
Owning the complete functionality from development to deployment.
Maintaining high standards of code quality by writing tests and continuously enhancing your skills.
Participating in team meetings, mentoring junior engineers, pair programming, and self-directed learning.
Collaborating with product owners, analysts, designers, and fellow developers to assess the size and scope of projects.
Essential Skills
Proficient in developing solutions using relevant languages and frameworks, designing application architecture, and building RESTful APIs following industry best practices.
Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms to optimize their usage.
Commitment to delivering clean, well-tested, and maintainable code.
Effective collaboration with product and design teams.
Experience in writing and maintaining unit tests and code coverage reports, aiming for continuous releases with minimal bugs.
Ability to innovate and deliver new services and features in modern applications, drawing on experiences from legacy systems.
Passion for driving results through collaboration and test-driven development, focusing on high-quality code and continuous learning.
