About the job

What do we do?

At Paddle, we revolutionize the payment infrastructure for digital product companies. Rather than juggling a complex array of payment-related applications, we serve as the Merchant of Record for our clients. This streamlined approach alleviates the challenges of payment fragmentation, making the process faster, safer, and more cost-effective.

Supported by prominent investors such as KKR, FTV Capital, Kindred, Notion, and 83North, we proudly serve over 5,000 software sellers across 245 territories worldwide.

The Role:

Join our Developer Experience (DX) team, dedicated to enhancing Paddle's integration experience for developers using our billing platform. You'll be responsible for the systems and tools that facilitate seller connections to Paddle, from the APIs and SDKs they rely on daily to our notification infrastructure that manages millions of events and the authentication services that underpin every seller interaction.

We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to become a vital part of our team. You will work on high-traffic, mission-critical services alongside a collaborative team of engineers, product managers, technical writers, and designers. This role offers you the opportunity to take full ownership of features and systems from your first day, with the potential to lead medium-sized projects as you establish yourself within the team.

If you are passionate about building reliable systems at scale, have a strong sense of what constitutes a quality API, and want your work to significantly impact how thousands of developers interact with Paddle, you are in the right place.

Our primary backend technologies include Go, with PHP (Laravel) utilized in various segments of the DX team's responsibilities.
