Sky Handling Partner seeks a Baggage Tracing Agent to join the team in London. This role plays a key part in reuniting passengers with their luggage, working closely with the Duty Manager. The position operates on a rotating schedule of early and late shifts, totaling 162.5 hours each month.
What you will do
- Create and manage AHL/DPR files for passengers with disrupted baggage, following up on tracing efforts until resolution.
- Maintain regular communication with affected passengers and keep action files up to date.
- Respond promptly to telephone inquiries and manage messages efficiently.
- Follow procedures for handling unaccompanied hold baggage (Rush Bags) and keep the Operations team informed about rush baggage volumes for each flight.
- Register and manage found property in line with company policy, coordinating with Customs and Excise for handovers when needed.
- Work daily with baggage handlers to ensure timely delivery of rush baggage to aircraft.
- Arrange courier services to return found baggage to passengers.
- Assist with the reception of incoming flights as required and comply with all health, safety, and security protocols.
- Follow updated procedures from management and carry out other tasks assigned by the Duty Manager.
Requirements
- Experience with Worldtracer is preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage several responsibilities at once.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in administration and reporting tasks.
- Adaptable and flexible, able to adjust to changing operational needs.
- Comfortable using computers, especially MS Office applications.
- Willingness to work rostered shifts and respond to operational changes as needed.
