Qualifications

Master's degree in a relevant field is required. Must possess one of the following licenses or certifications: Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Occupational Therapy (OT), or a related certification. Required Clearances, Licenses, and Certifications:Candidates must provide current valid clearances (Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprints Clearance, and PATCH) upon hire. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.

The Behavioral Health Advocate plays a crucial role in delivering comprehensive counseling and advocacy services that encompass every facet of a participant's life, including their family's needs. The focus will be on mental, social, physical, and behavioral health. Flexibility in scheduling is required, with some evenings or weekends expected.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the Behavioral Health needs of clients and their families via a thorough family assessment tool completed during the intake process.
  • Assist clients in stabilizing urgent needs and connect them with suitable long-term service providers.
  • Offer short-term counseling and support services to clients who express interest.
  • Collaborate with clients to establish therapeutic goals, tracking progress and making adjustments as necessary.
  • Provide intensive case management services to EARN and Work Ready participants, serving as the primary Case Manager when caseloads necessitate it. Conduct relevant case management as needed for clients receiving counseling services.
  • Facilitate small group sessions addressing the specific needs of participants.

Travel Requirements: Yes, local travel as necessary.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Salary Range: $42,500 to $45,050 per year.

Financial Incentives: After 90 days of employment, financial assistance will be available for licensing fees, including Supervised Clinical Experience for candidates pursuing clinical licensure.
