Dane Street, recognized as a certified Great Place to Work, is actively seeking a highly qualified Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in Lumbar Spine, along with experienced physicians in Pulmonary Disease and Pain Management.
In this role, you will conduct Independent Medical Exams (IME) and Peer Reviews, offering a chance to tailor your schedule and caseload to suit your preferences within a standard Monday to Friday work week. Candidates with a West Virginia medical license are preferred, and prior experience in Worker's Compensation is essential.
Job responsibilities include:
- Thoroughly reviewing medical records and addressing client inquiries based on state-mandated and nationally recognized evidence-based criteria.
- Providing clear, concise rationale for determinations with adequate supporting documentation.
- Ensuring timely return of cases before the due date.
- Maintaining proper credentialing, state licenses, and any necessary certifications.
- Participating in required orientations and training sessions.
- Addressing quality assurance issues and responding to complaints, regulatory matters, depositions, court appearances, or audits as assigned.
- Utilizing current criteria and resources to support objective decision-making in reviews.
- Conducting Independent Medical Exams in a professional and safe environment.
