CFC Certification is preferred, or a willingness to obtain it; must have the necessary engineering and trade licenses as mandated by local, state, or federal regulations. Proficient in using laptop and mobile applications for work order and facility operations, along with basic skills in Microsoft Outlook. Knowledge of fire/life safety equipment and procedures is essential. Demonstrated history of delivering exceptional customer service; strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with tenants, vendors, and contractors.

Join our dynamic team at LPC as a Building Engineer, where your expertise in maintaining and operating essential building systems will be invaluable. You will play a critical role in ensuring the functionality and safety of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems while fostering positive relationships with tenants and contractors. Under the mentorship of senior engineers, you'll enhance your technical skills and contribute to the seamless operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections of building systems; resolve service requests, including heating and cooling concerns, plumbing challenges, and lighting issues.
  • Diagnose minor equipment malfunctions and escalate complex problems as necessary.
  • Replace light fixtures, filters, and other components as needed.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and equipment performance.
  • Collaborate with tenants, contractors, and property management, working closely with senior engineers and technicians to ensure smooth operations and address tenant inquiries.
  • Assist in preventive maintenance tasks and oversee contractor activities.
  • Perform property inspections to identify and rectify deficiencies.
  • Monitor equipment readings to ensure compliance with operational standards.
  • Adhere to company safety protocols and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE); ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, NFC, NFPA regulations; report safety hazards; participate in safety audits.
  • Provide mentorship to junior technicians as needed.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with team members, management, vendors, tenants, and clients, ensuring all parties are kept informed of relevant updates.
  • Work alongside senior engineers to develop your technical expertise and engage in professional development initiatives aimed at advancing your career.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
