The Role

We are on the lookout for a skilled and motivated Business Development Manager to become a vital part of our National Sales team. Reporting directly to the National Sales Manager, your key responsibility will be to drive growth through robust partnerships and referral connections within a designated region.

In this pivotal position, you will be instrumental in identifying, engaging, and nurturing broker and referral partnerships. Collaborating closely with state-based Business Development Managers, your focus will be on unlocking fresh opportunities. Your success will hinge on your ability to foster trust, motivate partners, and consistently achieve impressive regional sales outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, contact, and engage broker referrals within an assigned territory.
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan to engage partners for business referrals and achieve territory sales targets.
  • Build market awareness and referral opportunities through strong partnerships.
  • Ensure adherence to best practice sales and marketing execution across the channel.
  • Present the business value proposition to stimulate regular deal opportunities.
  • Identify and secure new referral partnerships across diverse industries.
  • Collaborate with the AU Leadership team to cultivate business referrals and meet sales KPIs.
  • Grow partner referrals by articulating the ‘partner evolution’ and enhancing mutually beneficial relationships.
  • Provide regular updates on sales pipelines to management.
  • Effectively address customer objections and train team members to do the same to acquire new business.
  • Clearly communicate Prospa’s value proposition to various business types, including retail, hospitality, and commercial sectors.
  • Contribute positively to the team's motivation and commitment to becoming a market leader within targeted channel categories.
  • Maintain accurate records in our company CRM system.
