About the job
Who are we?
At HubSpot, we believe in empowering people to grow, not just products. Our industry-leading marketing, sales, and customer success software enables businesses globally to not only thrive but to do so in a better way.
Our values are rooted in our hearts, not our hallways. We aim to create an environment where individuals feel inspired to perform at their best, regardless of their location. While our Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) operations are based in the heart of Sydney, we welcome remote candidates from anywhere in Australia (must have unrestricted working rights).
Why This Role?
Sales can be challenging, and it's not for everyone. However, for those who relish challenges, thrive on achieving results, and wish to carve out a long-term career in sales, it can be immensely fulfilling.
If you’re merely looking to sample the world of sales, this position isn’t for you. Conversely, if you’re someone who wakes up eager to compete, enjoys setting and exceeding goals, and aspires to build a robust career in tech sales from the ground up, we’d love to connect with you.
As an Outbound Business Development Representative (BDR), you will play a pivotal role in driving HubSpot’s growth. You will be the initial contact for many prospective customers, initiating conversations through strategic outreach, identifying pain points, and qualifying leads. Collaborating closely with Account Executives, you’ll schedule high-quality meetings that foster pipeline development and revenue growth. Throughout this journey, you’ll refine your sales skills daily and gain insights from a top-tier sales organization.
What You’ll Do:
- Execute outbound prospecting with a high volume of outreach (60-100+ activities/day) via phone, email, and LinkedIn.
- Partner with Account Executives to identify strategic accounts and enhance outreach strategies.
- Assess leads based on fit, need, and urgency, and schedule impactful discovery meetings.
- Meet and surpass KPIs regarding activity levels, meetings set, and overall pipeline contributions.
- Embrace a culture of rapid learning and coaching, apply insights repeatedly for continuous improvement.
What You Won’t Do:
- Coast through your responsibilities. We prioritize speed, testing, iteration, and competition.
- Wait for opportunities to come to you; we proactively seek success.
