Key Qualifications for the Business Litigation Associate:
- 2-7 years of experience in litigation, particularly in general commercial and business litigation.
- Active Bar admission in California.
- Impressive academic credentials showcasing excellence in legal research and writing.
- Outstanding oral and written communication abilities, complemented by a collaborative team spirit.
- Experience with depositions, motion practices, and trial preparations.
Your Responsibilities as the Business Litigation Associate:
- Oversee and support a diverse range of commercial litigation cases, including depositions, pre-trial motions, and trial preparations.
- Work alongside the business litigation team on discovery, drafting pleadings, and client communications.
- Contribute to fact development, legal research, writing, and strategic discussions with senior attorneys and clients.
- Engage directly with clients and external counsel under the guidance of senior attorneys, driving the achievement of exceptional litigation outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications for the Business Litigation Associate:
- Judicial clerkship experience is a plus.
- Experience with high-stakes or complex commercial litigation issues, such as fiduciary duty, shareholder disputes, and business torts.
- Prior involvement with in-house eDiscovery, legal project management, or alternative fee arrangements.
- Interest or experience in sectors like financial services, technology, real estate, or disputes involving closely held businesses.
