Role overview
The Business Operations Manager will join the Payroll Business Operations Team. This position centers on establishing and leading the Project Management Office (PMO) function. The role offers the chance to shape processes and drive impact in the global employment space. Flexibility is a core part of the culture, with asynchronous work that allows for autonomy in scheduling, regardless of timezone. Initiative and ownership are valued, and team members are encouraged to act proactively.
What you will do
- Set up and lead the PMO function within the Payroll Business Operations Team
- Drive projects that influence Remote’s global employment services
- Work independently and take action when faced with uncertainty
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in project management, implementations, or professional services, ideally within HRtech, fintech, or software/technology sectors
- Strong leadership skills and a high level of intellectual curiosity
- Solid analytical and technical understanding of software systems at scale
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at once
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Experience working with internal and external stakeholders
- B2B SaaS experience preferred
