1. Systems Administration
As the C&I Systems Administrator, you will take charge of managing C&I platforms that fall outside the scope of Corporate IT. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Identity, Collaboration & Core Platforms
- Google Workspace (Staff & Student tenants): You will handle comprehensive administration, including user lifecycle management, delegated administration models, organizational unit (OU) design, security controls, storage governance, and data retention.
- Google Workspace Security & Investigation: Utilize security and investigation tools to support audits, incident investigations, access reviews, and policy enforcement, without assuming central SOC ownership.
- Google Vault: Manage retention policies, legal holds, and eDiscovery activities in accordance with regulatory and institutional requirements.
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP): Oversee governance for admin-related GCP projects, service accounts, and permissions tied to Workspace administration and automation.
- Google Admin Console & Google Admin Manager (GAM): Leverage administrative consoles and CLI tools for bulk operations and ongoing operational hygiene.
- Slack Enterprise Grid (SAE): Perform enterprise-level administration and workspace governance.
- Zoom or Meet: Conduct local SAE administration as applicable.
Device & Endpoint Management
- Manage Apple School Manager and Jamf (macOS)
- Utilize Microsoft Intune (Endpoint Manager) and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
- Oversee Sassafras license server (KeyServer) and usage analytics
- Maintain operational awareness of endpoint provisioning and configuration flows, identifying automation failures and escalating to appropriate teams for remediation.
Academic & Business Application Administration
Engage in operational systems administration for academic and business platforms, collaborating with functional and learning teams.
- Business-specific administration of the Navigate student management system (SAE teacher accounts management)
- Shared administrative responsibilities for Moodle / Campus Online
- Shared administrative responsibilities for Simple Syllabus
- Shared administration of WebCheckout (equipment loan management system)
- Manage WordPress & WP Engine (student and staff homepages)
- Oversee shared YouTube channels and Padlet
Security & Access
- Administration of 1Password (C&I specific password vaults, including SAE)
- Management of campus file servers (including Ethics Committee data)
- Utilization of Cortex Control Panel and related endpoint and security management tools.
2. Asset & Data Integrity
- Ensure the accuracy and consistency of asset records across development and operational environments.
