Join Sogeclair as a Cabin Designer!
As a Cabin Designer, you will engage in the innovative design and modeling of both 2D and 3D components and assemblies, addressing and solving production-related challenges. Your role includes producing 2D drawings from 3D models, all while adhering to the technical drawing standards set by our clients or Sogeclair.
You will serve as the technical focal point for aircraft cabin interior design, which encompasses the comprehensive design of furniture items such as cabinets and monuments. You will be instrumental in liaising with international teams, particularly collaborating with work package teams based in Montreal while being located in Basel.
Main Responsibilities:
- Design and develop parts or assemblies based on client requirements and industry standards;
- Modify and create 3D models of components or assemblies;
- Draft and interpret technical drawings and specifications;
- Generate 2D drawings from 3D models;
- Implement and integrate changes to technical drawings;
- Standardize 3D models and drawings in compliance with applicable norms;
- Analyze modification requests and propose solutions;
- Research and obtain required technical documentation;
- Identify root causes and resolve technical issues;
- Provide technical support to production and engineering teams;
- Draft quality procedures;
- Review assembly documentation;
- Participate in research and development activities;
- Share technical knowledge within the team;
- Assist in bidding activities and workload planning;
- Understand and apply AS9100 standards;
- Adhere to the Quality Management System (QMS) procedures;
- Act as the primary contact for cabin design activities;
- Ensure technical coordination and communication between international teams (especially between Basel and Montreal);
- Perform additional related tasks as required.
