Job Description

Position Overview:
The CAD Technician role is an intermediate-level position responsible for executing standard techniques and procedures while applying established methods and practices to develop airport engineering and design plans. This role closely collaborates with technical staff to determine the best strategies for addressing engineering and design challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support standard computer-aided design operations, including advanced plan production, plan sheet creation, and foundational design principles under moderate supervision.
  • Receive guidance on project goals, advanced features, and potential solutions.
  • Seek assistance for complex issues and have work reviewed.
  • Perform engineering support tasks, including data collection, computer file maintenance, drawing reproduction, and documentation of design modifications.
  • Be adaptable to work across various terrains and weather conditions at project sites in different construction phases.
