Green Thumb Industries (GTI) is hiring a Cultivation Technician in Ocala, Florida. This role focuses on hands-on plant care and maintenance throughout the cannabis growth cycle. Main Responsibilities
- Plant Care
- Top, bottom, and transplant cannabis plants as needed.
- Defoliate plants and manage different types of growing media.
- Monitor crops for signs of disease or pests.
- Train plants using established cultivation techniques.
- Follow national standards for cannabis cultivation.
- Harvest Operations
- Prepare grow rooms and equipment for harvest.
- Harvest and dismantle plants for processing.
- Defoliate and segment plants as part of post-harvest activities.
- Hang plants on drying racks.
- Keep drying and flowering rooms clean between harvests.
- Sanitation
- Sweep, mop, and perform other cleaning tasks as needed.
- Clean plant housing and maintenance tools regularly.
- Report any equipment or facility issues to management promptly.
Safety and Compliance
- Identify and report workplace hazards.
- Understand and apply department-specific training.
- Follow PPE requirements and all safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records as directed by supervisors.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are properly calibrated and maintained.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly perform physical tasks such as reaching, bending, and lifting.
