The Role

As a Cultivation Technician, you will play a crucial role in the growth and maintenance of robust cannabis plants, ensuring their health and vitality. Our ideal candidate is a proactive, enthusiastic individual who finds joy in potting, pruning, and meticulously caring for our cannabis plants. Given the highly regulated nature of the cannabis industry, adherence to safety and compliance protocols is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Plant Care:
- Perform topping and bottoming of plants
- Transplanting and defoliating as needed
- Manage various grow media
- Scout for pests and diseases
- Train plants for optimal growth
- Ensure compliance with national growing standards
- Harvest Operations:
- Prepare the harvesting area
- Execute plant harvesting and dismantling
- Defoliate and segment plants for drying
- Hang plants on drying racks
- Maintain cleanliness in dry and flower rooms between harvests
- Sanitation Duties:
- Perform sweeping, mopping, and other cleaning tasks
- Maintain cleanliness of plant housing and tables
- Care for plant pots and report any maintenance issues to management
Safety & Compliance
- Identify and report hazards in the workplace
- Understand and retain department-specific safety training
- Document and report safety incidents and follow up as required
- Comply with local safety regulations and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other compliance standards
- Accurately maintain records as directed by supervisors
- Calibrate and maintain tools and equipment as instructed
- Report and escalate any safety or quality concerns
