Requirements:• At least 5 years of installation experience; candidates must possess Lead Installer capabilities.• Must be able to install and test all traffic from equipment, including DS1, DS3, DWDM, Sonnet, 311B, and Power.• Ciena 6500 certification for testing and turn-up is preferred.• Comprehensive technical understanding of the Telcordia GR-1275 standard.• Prior experience working independently in the field and thriving in a fast-paced environment; must be self-motivated and proficient in organizing workloads with minimal supervision.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.• A positive, customer-focused attitude that allows you to handle challenging situations with integrity and empathy.• A valid state driver’s license is required.• Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing and criminal background screening.

We are thrilled to announce that our esteemed partner has expanded their operations to Canada! We are seeking exceptional Central Office Lead Installers with expertise in testing and turn-up processes. This is a long-term contract opportunity with abundant work available for the right candidates.

Your primary responsibility will be to lead the deployment of Ciena 6500/4200 systems across Canada, which encompasses installation, testing, and turn-up. This role requires 100% travel, and all travel expenses will be reimbursed, including a daily per diem of $100-$150 for meals and lodging.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and configure the Ciena 6500 platform.

• Travel to various customer locations.

• Conduct tests across multiple signaling platforms, including small to medium-sized private branch exchanges (PBX), digital signals (DS-0 through DS-3), and optic carriers (OC-3) to dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM).

• Deliver exceptional customer service, addressing escalations and concerns with professionalism and courtesy.

• Lead test teams and mentor junior testers and technicians to meet project objectives.

• Manage inventory of job-related materials and assist with inventory control as necessary.

• Conduct power verification, equipment power-up, and acceptance checks to ensure compliance with customer specifications.

• Identify and troubleshoot faults to guarantee customer satisfaction.

• Meet project deadlines while maintaining service quality standards.

• Generate test reports and analysis documents; update them as needed.

• Work with detailed engineering drawings and rack layout diagrams.

• Perform additional related duties as assigned.
