Education & Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. Professional accounting certification is preferred. Experience:3–5 years of accounting experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory capacity. In-depth knowledge of IFRS; familiarity with French GAAP is advantageous. Skills:Expertise in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities. Fluency in both German and English. Personal Attributes:Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. Proactive, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven. High level of integrity and discretion with sensitive information.

Join our dynamic team at avomind as a Chief Accountant / Senior Accounting Supervisor, where you will spearhead the accounting operations for a prestigious international firm located in Frankfurt am Main. As a vital member of the Finance team for the Western Europe Cluster, you will report directly to the Finance and Administration Manager based in Belgium. This influential role is essential for guaranteeing financial precision, adherence to regulations, and the ongoing enhancement of financial processes within our German legal entities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, half-year, and annual financial reporting processes, ensuring compliance with IFRS and internal guidelines.
  • Oversee the monthly closing process and the preparation of consolidated financial statements.
  • Guarantee compliance with local tax regulations and standards, including VAT, corporate tax, and payroll obligations.
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flow, bank reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.
  • Coordinate with both internal and external auditors to ensure compliance and timely financial reporting.
  • Collaborate closely with the Finance and Administration Manager on budget creation and financial forecasting.
  • Partner with HR providers to ensure accurate payroll management.
  • Work in collaboration with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, and operations) to promote financial coherence.
  • Drive initiatives for process improvements and strengthen internal financial controls.
