Qualifications

Genuine enthusiasm for supporting children with autism. Demonstrated patience, compassion, and teamwork skills. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or GED is required. Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification and a Tuberculosis test (if not completed in the past year). Must pass a pre-employment background check. Physical ability to perform tasks such as sitting, squatting, bending, and lifting. Capability to lift and carry objects or children weighing up to 50 pounds.

About the job

Join our passionate team as a Child Autism Specialist, where you'll have the rewarding opportunity to significantly impact the lives of children with autism. In this role, you will provide individualized support and implement behavior intervention plans designed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

As a Behavior Technician, you will engage with children one-on-one, utilizing evidence-based strategies to enhance their communication, social interaction, and daily living skills while minimizing challenging behaviors. Your patience, compassion, and team spirit will be crucial in helping these children achieve their fullest potential.

No prior experience is necessary, as we offer extensive training to prepare you for this fulfilling position. It is important to be physically active and comfortable with the demands of the job, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and occasionally carrying items or children weighing up to 50 pounds.
