Unlike traditional bus operators, Ember is a tech-driven company. Our innovative platform integrates all operational facets, from monitoring vehicles and managing chargers to ticket sales and ETA calculations. This cutting-edge approach allows us to maximize the use of electric buses, leading to a significant reduction in emissions. Additionally, we are committed to delivering an outstanding passenger experience through features such as demand-responsive stops.
Currently, we operate a modest fleet of 78 buses across a few routes. Our objective is to scale operations 50 times while maintaining efficiency and enhancing the overall product experience. Backed by prominent climate-focused venture capitalists in Europe, we are on the lookout for passionate individuals eager to contribute to our growth and success.
The Role
We are seeking a dynamic individual to lead and motivate our Driver and Hub Support teams in Glasgow. This role involves engaging with every facet of the business, from recruiting and managing top-tier driving personnel to developing and fine-tuning the Ember Hub model, which we plan to implement across Scotland in the upcoming year.
Your primary objective will be to ensure that each Hub operates at industry-leading standards. We are looking for a candidate who possesses a unique blend of leadership and operational skills to help accomplish this goal. You will not be alone in this effort; however, your intrinsic motivation to establish and enhance processes will be key in delivering exceptional experiences for both our customers and employees.
In this role, you will take local ownership of our 24/7 service in Glasgow. A natural curiosity about technology will enable you to play a crucial part in the expansion of a public transport company that places technology at its core.
