Civil Project Engineer
We are thrilled to announce a career opportunity for a Civil Project Engineer who is eager to contribute to the strategic growth of our Illinois Civil group. In this position, you will engage in both self-directed work and lead project teams in the planning and design of infrastructure projects, playing a crucial role in managing client relationships.
The ideal candidate will possess at least 5 years of experience in civil transportation design, showcasing expertise in geometrics, traffic highway systems, and drainage design. Proficiency in MicroStation and Geopak is essential.
Location
This role offers a flexible work schedule, with three days in our Chicago, IL office and two days working remotely.
The Impact You Will Have
- You will develop comprehensive project design plans and collaborate closely with Project Managers, integrating data and conducting fundamental analyses of project elements.
- You will handle a diverse array of projects for municipal, public, and private clients.
- You will set project goals and milestones, define responsibilities, coordinate resources, and monitor progress.
- You will ensure the production of high-quality engineering documents, following all internal quality control procedures, documentation, and project tracking protocols.
- You will foster relationships with key clients throughout Illinois.
- You will offer your technical expertise and advice on other project work as necessary.
- You will represent Benesch at industry events and conferences.
