Your Responsibilities
As a Cloud Engineer, you'll oversee the operations (design, installation, and maintenance) of our Development, Testing, and Production environments. You will need to adeptly integrate cloud principles with application deployment processes and support protocols. Strong system administration skills, technical operations expertise, and effective communication are vital for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and utilize monitoring tools for cloud applications and services, focusing on system health, trend analysis, and anomaly detection.
- Engage in on-call support to resolve customer-facing issues related to cloud environments.
- Create and maintain cloud-based systems architecture in alignment with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
- Automate code builds and deployments using DevOps/Agile and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery methodologies.
- Install, configure, and support Oracle and MS SQL Enterprise-level database systems and infrastructures.
- Establish and manage operational and security policies to mitigate risks in cloud-hosted environments.
- Oversee application, middleware, and infrastructure updates across all environments to ensure compliance with security policies and address vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with development teams to provision scalable and reliable application software in the cloud.
- Mentor and train IT Operations staff on cloud provisioning and best practices.
- Uphold safety, security, and privacy standards in all areas of responsibility.
