Requirements:Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information security, or a related field.7+ years of experience in application or infrastructure security roles. Proven track record in securing production web applications, preferably within Node.js/Next.js environments. In-depth knowledge of cloud security on GCP or equivalent platforms, including IAM, VPC, IAP, Secret Manager, and Cloud Armor. Strong understanding of OAuth, session security, and multi-tenant authorization patterns. Experience with security scanning tools (SAST, DAST, dependency scanning) and their integration into CI/CD workflows. Experience with Terraform security hardening. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, including skills to document security controls and guide engineers without security backgrounds. Experience with penetration testing is a plus.

We are looking for a talented Platform Security Engineer to become a vital member of our international research and development team. This role plays a crucial part in establishing and upholding the security framework of our cloud-based platform, encompassing application hardening, infrastructure security, and best practices that ensure our systems remain secure as they evolve.

We seek an accomplished engineer with extensive knowledge in application and cloud security, a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled, self-motivated professional who can take ownership of security architecture throughout its lifecycle while mentoring others in secure development practices.

  • Take charge of application and infrastructure security across the platform, from production launch to long-term scaling.
  • Enhance authentication (OAuth/session management) and API authorization mechanisms, including multi-tenant access control.
  • Establish and manage IAM policies, service accounts, and least-privilege access controls within cloud infrastructures.
  • Secure data transmissions, including file uploads, signed URLs, database access, and secrets management.
  • Implement and oversee security monitoring, logging, and alert systems.
  • Develop and maintain security tools integrated into CI/CD pipelines, including SAST, DAST, and dependency scanning.
  • Conduct regular security assessments, dependency audits, and penetration testing.
  • Manage responses to security incidents and perform root cause analyses.
  • Adapt and enhance security architecture in accordance with product and team scaling.
  • Guide the engineering team on secure development practices and document security controls and incident response procedures.
