The Club Host at Soho House Chicago acts as the first point of contact for members, guests, and staff at 113-125 N Green St. This position sets the tone for the club’s dining experience by greeting arrivals, managing departures, and ensuring each guest feels welcome and supported throughout their visit.
Key responsibilities
- Greet members and guests by name whenever possible, offering a warm and genuine welcome to all visitors.
- Manage a busy phone line, providing accurate information about menus, operating hours, and reservation availability.
- Coordinate reservations for the club and its restaurants, and assist Food & Beverage Managers on the floor as needed.
- Respond to calls and in-person requests with friendliness, discretion, and careful attention to detail.
- Work alongside the reception team to uphold high service standards and manage member expectations.
- Build rapport with guests and members, relaying both compliments and concerns to management.
- Foster a positive, professional, and enjoyable atmosphere through approachability and teamwork.
- Take on other tasks as assigned by supervisors or management.
Additional responsibilities
This role may involve training new reception team members, mastering the phone system, tracking expected covers, and preparing tables for upcoming reservations. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are important for success as a Club Host.
