Commercial Finance Associate – Boston
Barnes & Thornburg LLP, a prestigious Am Law 100 firm renowned for its exceptional Finance practice, is actively seeking a driven and skilled Commercial Finance Associate with 2–4 years of relevant experience to join our dynamic team in the Boston office. This strategic expansion is in response to sustained client demand, presenting a remarkable opportunity for a mid-level associate eager to enhance their lender-side expertise within a sophisticated commercial finance framework, with a clear trajectory for career advancement.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with partners and engage directly with clients, representing both national and regional financial institutions.
Draft and negotiate various legal documents including credit agreements, security agreements, amendments, and real estate documentation.
Participate in restructurings and workouts.
Engage in syndicated credit facilities as well as cash flow and asset-based lending transactions.
Oversee acquisition financings and leveraged finance transactions, including structuring, documenting, and closing loan transactions.
Qualifications:
2–4 years of experience in commercial finance.
Strong foundation in syndicated loan and debt finance transactions.
Experience representing the lender side (agent banks, lead arrangers, institutional lenders).
Expertise in drafting and negotiating credit agreements, security agreements, intercreditor agreements, and related loan documentation.
Exceptional academic credentials.
Outstanding drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills for building client relationships.
