Requirements:Prior experience in litigation of claims.5+ years in personal injury litigation (plaintiff or defense). Strong legal drafting skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs. Self-motivated with initiative. Able to make timely decisions under pressure. Focus on meeting tight deadlines. Meticulous attention to detail and organization. Professional demeanor in stressful scenarios. Inquisitive mindset, committed to continuous learning and skill development. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Well-organized and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with court rules, filing procedures (including e-filing), and adherence to law office protocols. Light travel may occasionally be required. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not mandatory.

We are looking for a seasoned and empathetic Paralegal to assist in navigating significant personal injury cases from inception to resolution. This role offers the chance to advocate fiercely for clients and contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment, handling intricate, high-stakes cases and making a meaningful impact on the lives we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

Your role as a paralegal will encompass various tasks throughout the case lifecycle, including but not limited to:

  • Providing compassionate and empathetic communication with TORKLAW clients.
  • Administering and maintaining the electronic document filing system.
  • Drafting legal documents including complaints, discovery responses, memoranda, pleadings, and affidavits.
  • Finalizing and proofreading drafts with precision.
  • Managing the attorneys’ calendar, including scheduling appearances and deadlines.
  • Preparing notices, scheduling depositions, and serving subpoenas.
  • Securing medical records from healthcare providers.
  • Collecting healthcare lien information.
  • Assisting in fact investigations.
