Essential Qualifications:At least two years of relevant post-graduate experience in consents, planning, environmental management, or infrastructure delivery. Proven experience in major infrastructure or construction projects. Experience supporting delivery under frameworks such as DCO, Town and Country Planning Act, or Highways Act. Ability to track deliverables within a broader programme context. Experience working effectively in multidisciplinary teams. Educational Requirements:A degree in Town Planning, Environmental Management, Infrastructure Planning, Engineering, Archaeology, Construction Management, Law, or a related discipline. Evidence of ongoing professional development. Working towards full membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., RTPI, IEMA, RICS, CIWEM).

This role will be pivotal in managing project consents, commitments, and regulatory interfaces across significant infrastructure programs. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, your efforts will ensure compliance with Development Consent Orders (DCOs), statutory responsibilities, and client governance frameworks, facilitating the achievement of critical project milestones.

Key Responsibilities:

You will play an integral role in coordinating consents activities and ensuring regulatory requirements are met across complex projects.

Consents & Commitments Delivery

Assist in coordinating and delivering project consents in accordance with DCOs, relevant legislation, and statutory frameworks.
Maintain Consents and Commitments Registers, ensuring that commitments are effectively tracked and managed.
Contribute to the preparation of applications, approvals, appraisals, reports, and supporting technical documentation.
Support post-consent processes, including the discharge of requirements and certification procedures.
Monitor compliance with consented guidelines and report any potential deviations to the project management team.

Legislative & Regulatory Compliance

Utilize your knowledge of planning, environmental, and infrastructure legislation relevant to major projects.
Ensure project outputs meet statutory requirements, industry standards, and client governance processes.
Assist in implementing Information Management System (IMS) procedures and controls.

Project & Programme Support

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support the delivery of work packages according to programme schedules and budgets.
Track deliverables against significant programme milestones.
Identify risks within your scope and escalate them as necessary.
Contribute to project risk identification and management processes.

Stakeholder & Interface Management

Facilitate engagement with internal teams, delivery partners, and external stakeholders.
Assist with technical coordination between project teams and stakeholders.
Contribute to stakeholder communication efforts.
