Role overview
The Construction Project Manager connects project development with on-site execution for Fastned’s charging stations in France. This position is part of the Construction team and collaborates closely with Construction Managers to ensure sites are ready for groundbreaking. The job involves regular site visits each month, overseeing preparations, negotiating with stakeholders, and monitoring progress on location.
What you will do
- Pre-construction studies: Arrange and coordinate technical studies (such as soil, structure, and stormwater) and manage network connection requests with Enedis and local municipalities.
- Procurement and logistics: Plan material requirements, schedule deliveries, and handle purchase orders from start to finish for construction sites.
- Suppliers and tenders: Grow and maintain the supplier database, oversee tenders for transformation positions (HTA/BT), and coordinate technical discussions among suppliers, architects, and Construction Managers.
- Financial monitoring: Prepare cost estimates before construction, review budgets against actual spending, and validate supplier invoices.
- Multi-party coordination: Act as the primary contact between internal teams (development, design, construction, procurement) and external partners (study offices, municipalities, network managers).
- Planning and risk management: Develop and maintain project schedules using tools like MS Project, Smartsheet, or Asana, track dependencies, and communicate risks to stakeholders.
- Continuous improvement: Contribute to improving the Construction team’s processes and tools.
