Teltonika is hiring a Controller Specialist to join its São Paulo office. This position plays a key role in connecting local finance operations with global teams and external accounting partners. The Controller Specialist will work closely with accounting, tax, financial analysis, and pricing, helping to organize financial data, ensure compliance, and support informed business decisions.
Main responsibilities
- Manage accounting processes, including journal entries and general ledger activities.
- Assist with monthly and annual closing tasks and prepare profit and loss statements.
- Ensure compliance with Brazilian accounting and tax requirements.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, collaborating with external partners.
- Serve as the main contact for accounting BPO and global matrix teams.
- Support tax processes and clarify Brazilian tax frameworks for international colleagues.
- Conduct cost analyses and contribute to financial planning efforts.
- Design and maintain pricing structures, including calculators tailored for various Brazilian states that account for taxes, logistics, and local needs.
- Monitor cash flow and assist with basic treasury operations.
- Support inventory management and reconcile assets and liabilities.
- Prepare and consolidate financial reports for internal use.
- Help organize and improve financial data, processes, and controls.
Requirements
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, for communication with global teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience in finance or accounting roles.
- Strong understanding of Brazilian tax and accounting regulations.
- Background in cost analysis and pricing structures.
- Experience managing accounting, tax, accounts payable, and accounts receivable routines.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel, including model and calculation development.
- Strong analytical abilities and a sense of ownership.
- Ability to work independently and connect various finance functions.
- Experience in accounting firms (BPO) or shared services is considered a plus.
- Background in multinational companies is advantageous.
- Understanding of IFRS is a plus.
- Experience building financial models or pricing tools is desirable.
