Role Overview:
The CRO Specialist will play a pivotal role in pinpointing friction points within the user experience, formulating hypotheses, executing tests, and implementing UX/UI enhancements across websites, landing pages, and sales funnels. This multifaceted role requires a combination of analytical acumen, UX intuition, experimentation expertise, and a thorough understanding of CPG consumer behavior and purchasing triggers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee comprehensive CRO initiatives across various brands, which includes audits, hypothesis formulation, test strategy development, execution, and performance analysis.
- Enhance user flows for CPG-centric digital experiences, ensuring a seamless process from discovery to conversion.
- Conduct both qualitative and quantitative research utilizing tools such as heatmaps, session recordings, user behavior analytics, funnel metrics, and competitor benchmarking.
- Design and execute A/B and multivariate tests on landing pages, product detail pages (PDPs), collections, and checkout processes.
- Collaborate effectively with design, development, and marketing teams to implement UX/UI enhancements driven by data insights.
- Analyze test results and present clear, actionable recommendations aimed at improving conversion rates, average order value (AOV), and overall funnel performance.
- Lead optimization efforts for landing pages related to promotional campaigns, product launches, and seasonal CPG promotions.
- Remain informed about the latest CRO best practices, direct-to-consumer (DTC) trends, and effective CPG merchandising strategies.
Qualifications:
- 3–5+ years of dedicated experience in CRO, ideally within CPG food and beverage brands or agencies servicing CPG clients.
- Proficient in Google Analytics 4 (GA4), heatmapping tools (e.g., Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, Lucky Orange), and A/B testing platforms (e.g., VWO, Optimizely, Convert, Intelligems).
- Demonstrated success in driving measurable improvements in conversion rates, revenue per visitor, and user engagement metrics.
- Exceptional ability to translate complex data into clear insights that guide UX/UI modifications and testing opportunities.
- Strong understanding of CPG consumer behavior, including shelf-to-cart psychology and merchandising principles.
- Experience working collaboratively with design, development, and marketing teams to implement tests and updates.
- Basic knowledge of front-end development (HTML/CSS/JS) is an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with direct-to-consumer or subscription-based CPG brands.
