We are currently seeking a dedicated Inventory & COGS Accounting Manager to oversee our inventory costing, reporting, and valuation processes. This pivotal role will contribute significantly to establishing scalable inventory accounting operations as we gear up for the launch of our first products later this year. This is a unique chance to directly impact the financial foundation of our company while supporting our vision of providing sustainable mobility solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily inventory accounting functions, including costing, valuation, and COGS management.

  • Conduct monthly reconciliations of inventory accounts across raw materials, consignment, and finished goods.

  • Prepare and process COGS journal entries and any necessary adjustments.

  • Identify and allocate COGS-related costs, including tariffs, freight, overhead, and other period expenses for timely recognition.

  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Fulfillment, Logistics, and Procurement teams to enhance inventory processes.

  • Design and implement robust inventory tracking systems within a multi-tier supplier environment.

  • Manage the Netsuite system enhancements related to inventory management, including integrations with 3PLs.

  • Calculate and record provisions for inventory, including excess and obsolete items, returns, and purchase commitments.

  • Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes to ensure accurate financial reporting.

  • Prepare ad hoc inventory and COGS reports as required.

  • Develop, document, and refine inventory accounting processes, controls, and procedures.
