Role Overview
The Creative Mechanical Engineer will take part in the full machine design process, from the first concept sketches through detailed engineering and prototyping. This role focuses on developing intelligent, manufacturable solutions that improve the existing product line. Work happens in close collaboration with other engineers and departments, and includes hands-on building and testing of prototypes in Ravo’s R&D workshop.
What You Will Do
- Continuously improve and develop street sweepers, focusing on innovation, performance, manufacturability, and customer feedback.
- Translate requirements, customer needs, and new ideas into mechanical designs and technical solutions.
- Take full ownership of projects, from feasibility studies and engineering to building prototypes, testing, and preparing for production handover.
- Monitor technology, timelines, and costs, making adjustments as needed to keep projects on track.
- Work closely with production, other departments, fellow engineers, and external engineering partners.
- Share knowledge and coordinate within the engineers hub in Heerhugowaard to achieve strong results as a team.
