About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Cybersecurity Detection and Response Analyst to join our team in Hong Kong or Singapore. In this critical position, you will play a vital role in safeguarding Jane Street’s employees, data, and infrastructure against the ever-evolving threats of the internet. As a Cybersecurity Analyst, your responsibilities will include developing and implementing monitoring tools to protect our firm, as well as managing incident response and remediation efforts when threats are detected.
Our team prides itself on staying current with developments in the cybersecurity landscape, distinguishing between innovative hacks by security researchers and the real threats that impact our daily operations. In this role, you'll carefully evaluate the context of our decisions, considering the trade-offs involved in addressing cybersecurity challenges.
We expect you to adopt a systematic approach to conducting unstructured investigations aimed at identifying and rectifying security issues. While you'll engage in operational coverage, you will also dedicate time to projects that enhance our detection capabilities, automate processes, and increase efficiencies. Additionally, you’ll conduct threat hunts that will allow you to expand your expertise and make a significant impact.
You will serve as a champion of best practices within the firm. All team members are encouraged to maintain exemplary personal cybersecurity hygiene and effectively communicate this knowledge to others. A key aspect of success in this role involves guiding others on their cybersecurity journey, and you should be enthusiastic about learning from your colleagues and sharing that knowledge with new analysts.
