Key Responsibilities
- Gather and document detailed business requirements for data-centric projects, including data warehousing, business intelligence, and analytics initiatives.
- Convert business needs into functional and technical specifications for development teams.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to establish reporting needs, ensuring the precision and relevance of data.
- Oversee data projects using an Agile methodology, setting up projects in project management tools and defining user stories and sprint plans.
- Serve as a liaison between developers and stakeholders.
- Manage stakeholder relationships by providing regular updates and feedback regarding project progress.
- Continuously seek ways to enhance business processes, documenting all findings and maintaining comprehensive documentation such as data dictionaries, process flows, and system design documents.
- Validate final deliverables with stakeholders and secure project sign-offs. Communicate project statuses, risks, and issues clearly and promptly.
- Prioritize incoming requests, taking ownership of planning and deadlines.
- Contribute to a quarterly newsletter updating stakeholders on departmental progress and initiatives.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and present insights.
- Support initiatives to ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across various platforms.
- Engage in defining and implementing data governance policies and procedures.
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies and anomalies.
