Qualifications
You have a degree from an engineering school or a high-level qualification in information processing, statistical engineering, and econometrics, and ideally have some experience in Big Data or Data Science (internship or first job). You possess an excellent level in statistics and quantitative analysis (theoretical and practical knowledge, intuition, ability to understand and apply models). You are proficient in R programming (or equivalent: SAS, Matlab…) and have a strong foundation in scripting languages (Python, Perl, JS, bash) or compiled languages (C++, Java), and/or have experience in UNIX/LINUX environments. You have an enthusiasm for data and AI-related challenges, a capacity to quickly upskill in these areas, and are eager to help our clients seize opportunities.

As part of its expansion in the Lyon region, Sia is eager to recruit local Data Science Consultants for its Lyon office.
Guided by experienced consultants, you will be responsible for collaborating with our various practices to implement complex models that support our clients in addressing challenges related to:
- Machine Learning and Statistics: Development of explanatory and predictive decision-making models (supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms, econometrics, forecasting, quantitative diagnostics, ...)
- Operational Research: Assistance in the design and implementation of optimization solutions under constraints and simulation models.
- Big Data: Algorithmic knowledge for processing large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
As part of the internal activities of the firm, your participation will revolve around the following axes:
- Development or enhancement of our offerings through training, working groups, dissemination of internal and external materials...
- Publication policy (sector blogs, studies, press releases...)
- Commercial development by contributing to the definition of needs and participating in commercial activities.
