About the job

Since our inception, Possible Financial has transformed the landscape of small-dollar loans, providing over $1 billion in funding to more than 1.5 million customers, issuing over 4 million loans, and saving our clients more than $650 million.

At Possible, we are pioneering a new model in consumer finance, one that empowers our customers to avoid debt instead of profiting from it. As a Public Benefit Corporation, our mission is to foster economic mobility in communities through affordable credit solutions that enhance financial health for generations to come. Join the team that is realizing this vision.

Team Overview

The data science team is integral to our rapidly growing organization, building the models, tools, and analytical frameworks that drive our decision-making, risk monitoring, and operational efficiency at scale. We are looking for a Data Scientist to bridge analytics, model governance, and internal tooling, enhancing our ability to support the teams and systems that enable Possible to operate swiftly and effectively.

Role Responsibilities

You will establish a structured framework for assessing new data sources and modeling methods. Your analyses will clearly outline assumptions that influence our data vendor budget and investment strategies. You will develop model monitoring and governance infrastructure, transitioning it from a reactive compliance measure to a proactive resource. Working collaboratively across departments, you will create analytical tools and automations that alleviate bottlenecks, allowing teams to access data independently and derive insights without frequent reliance on advanced analytics.
