Providing exceptional cleaning services across various internal and external welfare areas. Managing on-site waste handling and ensuring compliance with approved waste streams. Operating and maintaining cleaning equipment while ensuring safety protocols are followed. Responding to client callouts and maintaining effective communication with your team. Person Specification:Basic level satisfactory response from Disclosure Board. Knowledge or willingness to learn cleaning methods and health and safety requirements. Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure. Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment and work independently or as part of a team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Physical fitness is essential for this active role.

We are seeking dedicated and proactive Cleaning/Waste Operatives to join our team at ABM Facility Services UK in Darlington. This full-time, permanent role involves working in a dynamic warehouse environment, where you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and managing waste removal services for a prestigious client.
Your primary responsibilities will include executing high-quality janitorial services in various areas, including washrooms, break rooms, canteens, social areas, and production floors. You will also be tasked with handling waste generated on-site in accordance with approved waste streams, ensuring readiness for transportation.
As part of your role, you will utilize cleaning equipment such as walk-behind and ride-on sweepers and scrubber-dryers, ensuring that all equipment is maintained in a safe and effective working condition. You will be required to respond promptly to spillages and communicate effectively with team members and your line manager to ensure a collaborative work environment.
Health and Safety compliance is paramount, and you will be expected to wear protective clothing (PPE) and adhere to all related policies. Training on cleaning methods and equipment will be provided to ensure your proficiency in this active role.
