Compensation and Support
Hourly pay is competitive, with a monthly performance-based bonus structure. Top earners can reach up to $87/hour plus bonuses. Tend emphasizes transparency and support, providing clear expectations and opportunities for growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver preventive and periodontal care, including prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing (SRP), gingivitis scaling, oral cancer screenings, Itero scans, sealants, Zoom whitening, Perio Protect, Curodont, fluoride treatments, and patient education, following evidence-based guidelines.
- Work closely with a dedicated dental assistant to manage the schedule, handle sterilization and room turnover, and assist with patient care and documentation.
- Collaborate with dentists during hygiene exams to identify patient needs and recommend treatment plans.
- Increase hygiene production by making the most of chair time, promoting preventive care, and encouraging same-day treatment when appropriate.
- Engage fully in the Team (Assisted) Hygiene model, working alongside dental assistants to provide efficient care and improve patient experiences.
- Build strong patient relationships through clear communication, trust, and personalized education.
- Work with the broader studio team, including doctors, assistants, and operations leaders, to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in ongoing professional development, including continuing education, internal hygiene forums, and peer collaboration.
