Requirements:Education: A minimum of a Bac +5 in Finance, Management, Banking, or a related field is required. Additional training in business strategy, leadership, or governance is a plus. Experience: At least 8 years of professional experience in a financial institution (brokerage firm, bank, investment bank, etc.), with 5 years in a general, financial, or operational management role. Proven experience in a regulated environment and strategic project management is essential. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of financial markets, financial structuring, risk management, and internal control is necessary. A solid understanding of COSUMAF/BEAC regulatory challenges is indispensable. Language Skills: Proficiency in French (written and spoken) is mandatory, along with a good level of professional English. Personal Attributes: The position requires natural leadership, a strategic mindset, high rigor, and a strong sense of responsibility.

APAVE Cameroun is seeking a dynamic and experienced Deputy General Director (H/F) for one of its client financial institutions. The successful candidate will assist the General Director in defining, implementing, and monitoring the company's strategy. This role includes coordinating operational and commercial activities and serving as the interim General Director in their absence. The Deputy General Director will play a pivotal role in managing subsidiaries, developing activities, and ensuring governance and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Support and Governance: Contribute to the development and execution of the multi-year strategic plan and represent the General Management in internal and external forums, including regulators (COSUMAF, BEAC).
  • Activity Supervision: Coordinate the activities of various departments (capital markets, advisory & structured financing, finance, legal & compliance, etc.) and ensure effective execution of development projects.
  • Entity Development: Oversee the operational and commercial performance of the office in Gabon and ensure the achievement of financial and qualitative results.
  • Compliance and Internal Control: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (COSUMAF, BEAC, DGI, etc.) and oversee the implementation of internal controls and risk mitigation plans.
  • Managerial Leadership: Guide the management teams, lead coordination meetings, and foster a culture of performance and professional ethics.
