To excel in this senior management role, you should possess the following qualifications and vision:Education: Master’s degree (BAC + 5) in finance, banking, economics, accounting, or a related field. Experience: A minimum of 15 years in the banking sector, with significant expertise in resource mobilization, treasury management, and ALM. Proven experience in a director or senior management position within banking. Technical Mastery: In-depth knowledge of BEAC operations, CEMAC money markets, refinancing mechanisms, and experience in fundraising on national and international markets. Familiarity with the Cameroonian banking landscape is essential. Soft Skills: Strong leadership abilities, integrity, a keen sense of confidentiality, strategic analytical skills, and exceptional negotiation and persuasion capabilities. You should excel in performance management within banking networks and thrive under pressure. Major Asset: Bilingualism is highly valued for this position.

APAVE Cameroun is seeking a seasoned Deputy General Manager for one of its esteemed banking clients. If you aspire to make a lasting impact in the Cameroonian and international banking sectors, this opportunity is tailored for you.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will orchestrate the financial strategies, profitability, and treasury operations. Your daily challenges will revolve around highly strategic levers:

  • Strategy & Mobilization: Define and lead the overall strategy for deposit mobilization (individuals, businesses, institutions) and manage debt and equity resources at both national and international levels.
  • Treasury & Markets: Oversee treasury operations, money market transactions, and maintain relationships with BEAC.
  • Performance & Compliance: Ensure optimal liquidity management, control resource costs, adhere to prudential ratios, and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Governance & Reporting: Supervise the accounting department, manage the bank's data room, and timely produce strategic reports for COBAC, the General Management, the Board of Directors, and partners.
  • Operations: Oversee profitability, optimize bank operations and actively contribute to its sustainable performance.
