Qualifications

3-5 years of experience in a DevOps role. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. Ability to clearly communicate technical challenges and solutions. Experience with automation and dependency management tools such as Maven and Gradle. Proficient in infrastructure management and deployment. Familiarity with container technologies like Docker, Docker Swarm, and Kubernetes. Strong knowledge of Linux and MacOS system management. Experience with databases including MySQL and DynamoDB. Proficiency in CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions and CircleCI. Ability to leverage current industry trends and best practices for solution construction. Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus and NewRelic. Familiarity with the Git version control system. Experience with the Kotlin programming language is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Role overview

This remote DevOps Engineer position is open to candidates based in Europe. The role centers on supporting and improving Zimperium’s "download and decrypt" services in close collaboration with the Research team. While the company is located in Riga, Latvia, work is fully remote within Europe.

What you will do

  • Design, build, and maintain cloud and on-premises solutions to ensure reliable service deployment.
  • Enhance infrastructure and processes to support easier deployment, scalability, security, and fault tolerance.
  • Automate operational, testing, installation, and related workflows to improve efficiency and system stability.
  • Work with the service development team to troubleshoot operational issues and deliver improvements.
  • Document procedures for resolving issues in complex systems.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support faster, more reliable deployments and developer productivity.
  • Maintain and extend existing software services, with a primary focus on Kotlin-based systems.
  • Contribute to defining and implementing DevOps best practices within the team.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a DevOps role.
