About the Role

As the Director of Account Management at Firebird Music, you will spearhead the creation and execution of innovative strategies aimed at enhancing the performance of both our frontline and catalog releases across digital service providers (DSPs). Drawing from your extensive experience in researching, designing, and implementing sophisticated marketing initiatives, you will develop growth strategies centered on artist and track development. This pivotal role acts as the primary liaison with our global network of third-party distributors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with external label partners, internal teams, Firebird's distribution partners, and DSPs to drive artist opportunities and revenue growth.

  • Partner with commercial sales teams to develop a comprehensive DSP strategy that aligns with defined editorial and marketing objectives, leveraging analytics and personal connections.

  • Engage directly with DSP partners by territory to promote available programming, creating editorial and marketing opportunities for new releases, catalog items, retail marketing, and direct marketing efforts.

  • Provide the distribution account management team with timely, well-crafted marketing and sales updates regarding new releases, ongoing priorities, and overall artist and label activities.

  • Develop compelling DSP pitches for priority releases and submit them directly to accounts.

  • Create effective solutions to achieve results with DSPs, ensuring our distribution partners uphold high standards.

  • Enhance value for catalog releases beyond distribution relationships, working directly with DSPs and marketing partners.

  • Communicate specific creative asset requirements and deadlines to DSP partners.

  • Exhibit mastery of established DSP systems and protocols while continuously experimenting with new release strategies.

  • Accountable for reporting on editorial results and analyzing consumption patterns.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a DSP or in Account Management within a label, distributor, or management company, with a deep network of contacts among editors and marketers at DSPs.

  • Proven track record of leveraging relationships, crafting narratives, and utilizing data to develop songs and elevate artists.

  • Demonstrated ability to construct testing frameworks, analyze raw data, and extract key insights in a fast-paced environment.
