The Role

As the Director of Electrical Engineering, you will spearhead and expand our electrical engineering team in Denver, overseeing the entire lifecycle of electrical hardware for our next-generation augmented reality systems. This role blends profound technical oversight with strategic leadership, ensuring the successful execution of our roadmap, establishing rigorous design standards, and nurturing a world-class electrical engineering team as Red 6 continues its growth trajectory.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

Develop and implement the electrical engineering strategy that aligns with Red 6’s product and technology roadmaps.
Mentor, lead, and cultivate a high-performing electrical engineering team.
Promote a culture focused on product integration, manufacturability, and performance within the electrical engineering team.
Encourage engineers to deeply engage with product intent, facilitating swift, iterative collaboration with mechanical and systems teams as designs evolve.
Collaborate with the VP of Engineering, CTO, and cross-functional leaders (Systems, Software, Mechanical, Manufacturing) to ensure seamless product integration.
Drive the standardization of design processes, documentation, and testing frameworks across all electrical programs.
Forecast and manage resources, budgets, and project priorities for the electrical engineering function.
Build and guide a team of electrical engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and engineering excellence.

Technical Execution

Offer architectural and design guidance for complex mixed-signal, high-speed digital, and power systems utilized in aerospace AR environments.
