A Day in Your Life:
The Director of Engineering - Internal Services is a strategic technology leader responsible for the architecture, development, and lifecycle management of all internal enterprise systems, including CRM, ERP, business applications, and integration platforms. This role oversees engineering teams dedicated to designing and maintaining the software infrastructure that enables Finance, Sales, Human Resources, Supply Chain, and other operational units to function efficiently.
With a strong emphasis on API-first design, platform modernization, and DevOps excellence, the Director will spearhead the transformation of internal systems into scalable, reliable, and automated platforms. This position leads cross-functional teams in development, DevOps, QA/testing, and platform engineering, ensuring operational reliability while accelerating digital agility and innovation throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Technology Leadership:
- Define the technology vision and roadmap for internal business systems (CRM, ERP, custom platforms), with a strong focus on modular and API-oriented architecture.
- Collaborate with executive stakeholders to ensure technological capabilities align with evolving business needs across Value Stream Leadership, digital experience, and executive direction.
- Promote platform modernization, data integrity, and service standardization across internal services.
Engineering Oversight and Delivery:
- Lead and scale engineering teams responsible for developing internal applications, configuring packaged software, and integration services.
- Drive the delivery lifecycle, ensuring code quality, performance, and user experience for all internal applications.
- Establish clear standards for architecture, documentation, and best practices.
