QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field. Extensive knowledge of transmission, distribution, substations, and power systems. A minimum of twelve years of engineering design experience, with at least eight years in power delivery. Proven ability to balance technical excellence, cost efficiency, and project timelines. Experience collaborating with utilities in power delivery. Familiarity with the renewable energy sector is a plus. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

Role Overview

As the Director of Engineering, you will be instrumental in shaping our engineering organization by overseeing project design, optimizing strategies, and ensuring that our engineering teams deliver high-performance, scalable, and cost-effective solutions in the construction of power delivery systems. You will:

  • Guide management in the design, specification, and review of essential technical documents for permitting and construction related to substations, transmission lines, distribution lines, and energy storage facilities.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic business and yearly operational plans.
  • Establish and implement engineering best practices and standard processes aligned with industry standards and business objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to industry regulations, safety requirements, and standards.
  • Collaborate with project management, estimating, procurement, and business development teams to synchronize engineering initiatives with business strategies.
  • Provide project activity estimates, schedules, and resource requirements.
  • Deliver technical guidance, risk assessments, and problem resolution within your area of responsibility.
  • Manage daily operations of the engineering department.
  • Actively engage in trade and technical associations.
  • Ensure successful project execution across all initiatives.
