Qualifications
You will already be:A fully qualified Architect (RIBA/RIAI) with substantial healthcare experience. Possessing strong design leadership and the ability to convey a compelling design vision. Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams on large-scale projects. Experienced in strategic thinking and business development. Having a collaborative approach with leadership and mentorship qualities. A skilled communicator with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities. Ideally, you will have experience in:Medical planning expertise. Working within multi-disciplinary consultancy environments. Sound judgment in design and performance decisions. Experience collaborating across offices and geographic locations. Resource planning and business reporting skills. A commitment to innovation and ongoing improvement in tools and techniques.

As our portfolio of projects expands across the UK, Ireland, and globally, we are excited to grow our UK+I Healthcare Architecture team. We are on the lookout for an outstanding individual to join us at the Director level, contributing to the evolution of healthcare design.
This unique opportunity allows you to lead and develop our acclaimed Healthcare Architecture team, which is part of our UK+I Architecture + Design Studio, recognized as the 10th largest architectural practice in the UK (AJ100 Survey 2025).
We seek a healthcare leader with extensive recent experience in various healthcare typologies. You will be part of a global, multi-disciplinary practice, taking the role of Lead Designer on significant projects, ensuring success through robust leadership, collaboration, and design excellence.
This position offers the chance to define and implement a growth strategy for healthcare architecture in the UK&I. You will interact with NHS/HSE, Trusts, contractors, and other healthcare stakeholders to build a strong pipeline of opportunities and turn them into impactful projects.
We are particularly interested in candidates based in the UK and the Republic of Ireland who have demonstrable healthcare delivery experience.
