Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred. Professional certifications such as NCIDQ, RIBA, or equivalent are advantageous. A minimum of 20 years of progressive experience in interior design. At least 5-7 years in a senior leadership role (Associate Director or Director level). Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale, high-profile projects in the Middle East; experience in KSA is highly preferred. Experience collaborating with government entities and giga-projects is a plus. Technical SkillsStrong expertise in concept design, space planning, and FF&E strategy. In-depth knowledge of hospitality and mixed-use interior standards. Familiarity with Saudi building codes and international best practices. Proficient in design software including AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, and Adobe Suite. Core CompetenciesStrategic leadership, effective communication, and exceptional collaborative skills. Ability to drive innovation and implement sustainable design practices.

Join Egis Group as the Director of Interior Design, where you will spearhead the Interior Design division at Omrania in Riyadh. This leadership role involves crafting a visionary design framework and ensuring exceptional standards across diverse projects, including hospitality, mixed-use developments, commercial spaces, cultural institutions, and ambitious giga-projects throughout Saudi Arabia.

The ideal candidate will blend creativity with strategic acumen, serving as a pivotal business partner to align local objectives with the broader goals of Egis Group while facilitating regional growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead and expand the Interior Design team in Riyadh.
  • Establish and execute the design vision, standards, and best practices.
  • Contribute to both regional and group strategy in alignment with Egis.
  • Foster a high-performing, multicultural design team through mentorship and development.
  • Champion innovation, sustainability, and design excellence.

Business Development

  • Drive proposal submissions, client presentations, and strategic interviews.
  • Identify and secure new business avenues within Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
  • Maintain robust relationships with developers, government agencies, and private clients.
  • Contribute to the achievement of revenue growth and profitability goals.

Project Oversight

  • Provide executive oversight on major interior design initiatives.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and uphold the highest design standards.
  • Oversee all phases from concept development to design documentation and site supervision.
  • Ensure compliance with Saudi regulations and international standards.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary design authority for key accounts.
  • Build enduring partnerships with major developers and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with architectural, engineering, and specialist teams within Egis Group.

Operational & Financial Management

  • Manage departmental budgets and resource allocations.
  • Oversee recruitment, team structures, and performance evaluations.
  • Monitor project financials to ensure profitability.
  • Implement quality control measures and risk management protocols.
